Event Format and Structure

The Fortnite Trios Cash Cup will follow a two-round format, offering players 10 matches to secure as many points as possible during a three-hour window in each round. The top 198 teams from the first round will advance to the second round, where they will compete for points through placement and eliminations. Points for a Victory Royale will be 65, while eliminations in the second round are worth 2 points each.

Players will be able to earn points for eliminations and victories.

Prize Pool and Distribution

Prize money will vary by region, but the stakes are highest in North America and Europe, where the first-place team will walk away with $12,000. The second and third place teams in these regions will win $3,750 and $2,700, respectively, with prize money distributed to the top 25 teams. In regions like Brazil, Asia, Middle East, and Oceania, first place will earn $1,875, and similar payouts are extended to the top 25 teams.

The Prize pool rotates each season.

Player Requirements and Participation

To compete in the Trios Cash Cups, players must meet several key requirements set by Epic Games. These include being ranked in Gold or higher in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode, having a minimum account level of 350, and enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their accounts. Additionally, players must be at least 13 years of age.

There is a set of rules players need to abide by before joining the event.

The Road to the Trios Global Championship

This return to Trios not only revives a popular format but also paves the way for next year’s Trios Global Championship. Many professional players have already expressed excitement about the change. As the weekly Cash Cups begin, teams will have plenty of opportunities to perfect their strategies and compete for glory before the championship season.
